Happy Sunday!
It’s Easter! I hope you’re finding peace and joy and connection, no matter your beliefs or how you choose to spend this long weekend.
I always have such conflicting thoughts and feelings around these sort of religious / consumerist holidays but have chosen to continually bring it back to family and connection. Two of my biggest core values no matter the season.
My little gift giving love language heart can’t resist collecting some special little goodies to show my family love.
What I’ve been reading this week:
I have just finished reading Breath by James Neston. It was really interesting! And I finally finished my audiobook The Fiery Cross (Outlander book 5) by Diana Gabaldan. I’ve now started reading Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance.
Reading related announcement: Expect my monthly book reviews to drop at some point in the not too distant future!
What I’ve been listening to:
This week listening has primarily been music in the car. My favourite podcast ‘Currently Reading’ as I went for my little daily walks. And Wombat Stew audiobook on repeat for my younger 2 children at bedtime.
My sister and I were talking about the music we’ve been listening to lately and how Spotify is targeting the same music to the both of us.
Some of our recent listens are:
Stick Season by Noah Kahan
July by Noah Cyrus
What I’ve been watching:
I’m staying with my sister this weekend and my littlest brother is here as well. We have been watching the BBC Narnia series from the late 80’s / early 90’s that we watched as kids. Mega nostalgia! Did anyone else watch this series? It’s on YouTube if you want to check it out. Our favourites are The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Silver Chair.
What I’ve been loving:
I’m continuing my bullet journal obsession. I just picked up some new highlighters and am keen to build some homeschool planning and tracking into my journal as well. I’ll keep you all posted!
Something a bit different for me but I am loving the new hair care products I’ve been trying recently! I got a shampoo, conditioner, mask and spray from the Everescents organic range and I’m really happy with them!
While I’m here talking products I’ll give an honourable mention to the Weleda pomegranate body wash which has been my favourite for a while now.
Easter related love - the Loco Love chocolates my husband bought me. If you haven’t tried these choccies yet - you’re missing out!
What I’ve been thinking about:
I have been thinking about how excited I am to sink into autumn, get back on the road and hopefully find some more calm and peace as we exit an extremely busy season. Since November life has felt like it’s been stuck on fast forward. I’m ready to find pause!
Please share in the comments if there is anything you’re particularly enjoying this week that you want others to know about!
See you again here soon with my March Resource Round up and Wild Mama Reads!
