I’m writing this as I attempt to settle my 3 year old into bed as she licks my arms and crawls all over me. Mum life reality. It’s a wonder how I get any reading at all done sometimes!
… Okay, she’s now sleeping peacefully and I can focus on writing about all the books I read in March.
Book 1:
The Banksia House Breakout by James Roxburgh

I listened to The Banksia House Breakout on audio. I’m pretty sure it was an audible freebie at some point. It has been sitting in my library for a longggggg time but I finally got to it. We follow Ruth, an elderly woman, who is railroaded into moving into a retirement home by her son. Ruth ends up going on quite an adventure with 2 other residents of the retirement home. The story raises real issues around care in retirement villages. It has serious road trip adventure vibes and altogether was a good filler read. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.
