November Resource Round up
Here I will share all the books, resources and fun learning adventures from November!
Welcome substack readers!
November was one insanely busy month for us! We left QLD after 5 months of traveling around the state in our van and gunned it down to Sydney in a week for family commitments where we will be based until early in the new year. Wild times!
Our resource list is a bit of a shorter one this round up as we have been so busy living and exploring life.
This brings me to the topic of holidays! Many homeschoolers I see are winding down their homeschool for the year and getting excited for “summer holidays”. We actually do things a little differently. For us, we continue to learn and read and grow year round. We don’t take intentional “school holidays” as such. We don’t at all follow the traditional schooling calendar year. This just doesn’t make sense at all for our family. It means we can take breaks that suit our family and what’s coming up in our lives. In some ways I feel like November was a bit holiday-y for us and we’re ramping up our learning a little again now alongside getting excited for Christmas and more time with family.

Some months look like lots of books, other are a tonne of podcasts and audiobooks in the car and others still are like this month, mostly out and about exploring! Such is the wonder and joy of unschooling!
And now for your monthly reminder to use your local dang library! This is something we have missed so much since travelling full time but have had the opportunity to visit a lot of great libraries around Australia this year and they are truly such an amazing (and free) resource. If you’re not taking advantage of them - why the heck not? Get onto it!
As always a huge thank you for reading along. I hope you can find some interesting ideas and exciting reads for your own children here.
Before you go I thought I’d link you to other publications I put recently you may have missed:
Until next time!
