Happy May!
We have scooted on through April and are already gliding into the last month of Autumn. We have moved south and enjoyed a beautiful slow month (for the most part). Days full of nature walks, ample screentime, making fires, reading books and just taking it easier!
For context; I currently have an 8 turning 9 year old, 6 year old and 3 year old. We travel Australia full time in our Caravan.
This month I have added affiliate links for books. For 2 reasons - to make it easier for you to source the books you are interested in. To help generate a little extra book money so we can keep sharing all the wonderful books and resources we use!
Here is a list of the resources we have been using this past month:

We finished a whole heap of workbooks and resources we’d been using the last few months (and some had even been on the go for years!). It’s been so sweet watching how proud and accomplished my children have been finishing. A couple of books we’ve recently completed and highly recommend are: The Big Life Kids Journal and Measuring Things Activity Book.
Here is your monthly reminder to utilise the local library! Seriously… Do it!
Last week we picked up new research notebooks and erasable pens (just for fun) and headed to the library. We did copy work, learned about our star signs, read lots of books and joined in with the library story time. We’ll continue to use our research books following the children’s interests.
Find a local festival this month and check it out!
We had a great time at the Off-Grid Festival in Chiltern in regional Victoria at the start of April. Had such a wonderful experience learning and exploring as a family, as we always do! Would love to do more festivals together.
Take advantage of op shops for learning resources.
My biggest and I are still loving our weekly op shop mama - daughter dates. We’ve picked up some great books, craft resources and have even found full art and craft sets. For a fraction of the price of what you would find anywhere else. They’re definitely worth checking out when you can!
What did you do in April? Did you use any great resources you’d like to share?
Subscriber zoom call:
In April I held my first subscriber zoom call. We talked all about creating a daily rhythm to suit the cooler months. It was honestly such a heartwarming, connected conversation and I’m so excited for our future calls every month. Stay tuned for May’s catch up in the next few weeks. But before we move on I wanted to share the notes and the prompts from our call here for everyone to consider.
The following discussion is for my wonderful paid subscribers. If you’d like to support me and join this cohort feel free to upgrade your subscription!
